Since parents are the primary educators of their children,
youngsters always learn first in the home about God. The Diocese
of Altoona-Johnstown supports parents as they foster in their
children a love of God and an understanding about Jesus Christ
and gospel values. One of the ways we offer this support
is comprehensive, parish-based religious education programs
for youngsters who do not attend Catholic Schools
Every child should have access to programming at least
until high school graduation. Many parishes also have educational
opportunities for adults. Religious education is a human
need that knows no age limit.
