The Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown established the Second Century Scholarship Fund as a separate 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to accept contributions and distribute needs-based scholarships among eligible students attending Catholic schools throughout the diocese.

Since 2001, area businesses have contributed more than $1.5 million dollars to our fund through the Commonwealth's Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC). If your business is subject to one of six Pennsylvania business taxes, you may be able to re-direct a portion of your tax dollars to support students in our Catholic schools through the Second Century Scholarship Fund Second Century Scholarship Fund.
